PTA Information
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association. For those of you who are already part of the PTA and those of you wishing to join there is something new this year-- PTA is trying to do our part for the environment. Therefore we are going paperless. Please check this web site frequently for PTA information.
Please complete membership forms and return as soon as possible if you are planning on joining. The yearly PTA dues are $5. Also, ASD requires three clearances, PA criminal history, Child abuse background check, and FBI fingerprinting. You can get the forms in the school office or online. These clearances are not only for PTA but you must have them to help at any school function involving the children.
There are many things PTA does for the school, teachers, and children:
*Each student receives a year book at the end of the school year.
*Each student also goes on a field trip (you must be a PTA member to chaperone).
*We hold many events at the school some include assemblies, field day, and book fairs.
* We also grant wishes for teachers. We have been able to purchase a new piano for the music room, bookshelves, and books just to name a few.
PTA is not only for moms we encourage dads and guardians to join as well. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to email the PTA.
