Hello 3rd Grade Families,
We are all on this exciting journey together and I am so grateful for your support and understanding.  You will find lots of great links on my personal page as well as daily English Language Arts lessons (beginning on Monday) and videos to go along with instruction.  
As we go on this adventure together, please email me or text on the Remind app if you have any questions or needs.  I'm here for you!  Let's enjoy learning in a different way!

Enjoy time reading something on Raz Kids or something at home that you are reading.

There is a new ReadWorks assignment for you to complete called Ants on a Log.  Read and complete the questions to submit for grading.  Some of you still have to complete the previous passage which is called The Noisiest Cat. 

Continue to work on Spelling City assignments (remember…no spelling test this week, but learn about the vocabulary words) and Brainpopjr.

Don’t forget to visit your other teacher’s sites including Mrs. Kerr for Music.

          Prefixes and Suffixes

          Friendly Letter

Both Brainpopjr. assignments will be due at the end of the week

          

Start working on your Spelling City Assignments – do 1 or 2 each day. IMPORTANT – Spelling City is different this week. You will only have 6 assignments and NO spelling test.  The focus is more on working through the vocabulary activities.  Have fun!

There is something new for this week that you are expected to complete as part of the Career Readiness standards and requirements for 3rd grade.  This is from Mrs. Wasson (Guidance Counselor) You will need to complete the online lessons by following the links.

Good morning 3rd grade!

Please view the video for Figurative Friday and the video about types of figurative language in Disney movies.

You have worked hard all week long so…Happy Friday!  Please make sure that your graded work is completed.  You should have 2 Brainpopjr. videos completed, your 8 Spelling City assignments, and a ReadWorks passage called The Noisiest Cat and comprehension questions completed for ELA. 

Try to go on Study Island today through Clever and pick a topic that you would like to work on.  Make sure to watch the lesson and go to Game Mode.  Try to earn a blue ribbon.  You could also go on RazKids anytime if you just want something fun to read!

Don’t forget to visit Mrs. Carnahan’s site to make sure you have completed all work for her.  It’s Friday, so go ahead and check out Miss Shaffer’s site.  Make sure to find and click on the completion link to get your participation points.

Good Morning on this Terrific Tuesday!  Today is going to be a day of being thoughtful.  There are so many things that you can do to be kind and helpful to someone.  Offer to do an extra chore, help with something in the kitchen, watch your younger sibling for a half hour, or just be accepting and easy going for the day.
